Praxisberry Pi

In this instructable we will make a Raspberry Pi-based music player. Me and some friends made this as a group project for school.

Supply list:

  • Raspberry Pi
  • SD Card
  • SD Card reader/writer
  • Speakers
  • Power supply for Raspberry Pi
  • Access to the internet
  • (optional) USB DACPraxisberry Pi

Step 1: Prepare your SD Card

  1. Download installer
  2. Navigate to the folder MountRPI
  3. Double click “mountrpi.py”
  4. Follow the instructions

Step 2: Setting up the Raspberry Pi

  1. Plug an Ethernet cable into the Raspberry Pi
  2. Plug in SD Card
  3. Plug in any audio equipment, such as a speaker or headphones
  4. Plug in the power sourcePraxisberry Pi schematic

Step 3: Connecting to the Pi Music Player

It gets a bit complicated now. Follow your operating system.

Windows:

  1. Go to My Network Places
  2. Look for the icon called RuneAudio and double click it.

Mac/IOS/Linux/Android:

  1. In your browser type ‘runeaudio.local’
