Raspberry Pi Pi-hole project with PiTFT display

Chris Crocker-White has published a new tutorial to the Hackster.io website this week expanding on his previous article on how to set up Pi-hole for network-wide ad-blocking across your entire home network. The new tutorial provides everything you need to combine an Adafruit PiTFT 3.5″ display together with a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and software and services provided by Pi-hole, PADD and balenaCloud.

“Today I’m going to show you how to add a display to your setup for monitoring and statistics using PADD. For this guide you’ll need to be running the the Pi-hole on balenaCloud project by @klutchell that we used in our original guide. This project already includes all of the additional software components we’ll need to set up and run the display. If you’ve not set up your Raspberry Pi with this project yet, head over and work through the guide, then come back and we can continue on with the display setup.”

For full instructions on the Raspberry Pi project, which has been classed as easy and should take roughly 60 minutes to complete jump over to the official Hackster.io website via the link below. Chris even provides everything you need to 3D print your own enclosure if you have access to a 3D printer. If you enjoy building Pi projects you might be interested in our comprehensive list of Raspberry Pi displays, HATS and small screens.
