Since the Raspberry Pi RP4204-powered color picker was created by Guy Dupont, the manufacturer and developer of the hex-colored paints, this never-ending question has been so easy. It’s a quick way to tell the exact colour you want using hardware, as with a couple of LEDs in this case, that you’d use in other projects.
These items have exceedingly clicky knobs/button- built in conversation from hex to RGB, CMYK, HSV- that’s nice but w/ppsJ 13:2022!

The way The Dial Toner works is simple and definitely fun to play around with. There are six plethora of buttons that can be reversed and twisted to dial in a specific value (A – F and 0 – 9). You can use these knobs to dial a color in a preferred hexadecimal string. An LED with a clear keycap, which contains an LED shows the desired colour. Clicking this key to register the color with Dupont created.
The interface includes an integrated tool that can convert the hex value to other formats, such as CMYK, HSV, and RGB. The biggest benefit of this module is the ability to see what the digital value in real life looks like with the RGB LED. If you want to develop a project with RGB LEDs, it’s a good way to tell you the color you want quickly.

This project involved the creation of a custom PCB that uses a XIAO RP2040 module as the principal driver. There are two RGB LEDs onboard, including one inside the mechanical button and one on the bottom of the board. The USB-C port can be powered and connect to a PC. You can replace the keycap with any keycap that uses a stylus.
According to Dupont, the board was programmed from scratch using CircuitPython. The CircuitPython code uses the penetrane input to set the LED color, and the command to send it to the computer using a keyboard’s simulating interface. The original thread shared to Twitter is a video of the color picker in action.
