SELF-HOSTED PI PICO DEVELOPMENT

Older readers and those with an interest in retrocomputing may remember the days when a computer might well have booted into a BASIC interpreter. It was simultaneously a general purpose device that could run any software it would load, and also a development environment. Not something that can be said for today’s development boards which […]

ODD INPUTS AND PECULIAR PERIPHERALS THE SIMPLEST OF PI 400 CYBERDECKS

ODD INPUTS AND PECULIAR PERIPHERALS: THE SIMPLEST OF PI 400 CYBERDECKS

The trend for making cyberdecks has seen the Raspberry Pi emerge as a favourite for these home-made computer workstations, with the all-in-one Raspberry Pi 400 providing a particularly handy shortcut to integrating the computer and keyboard components. There’s still the question of the cyberdeck chassis and screen though, and it’s one that [bobricius] has answered in

SMALL HIGH CAPACITANCE THREE TERMINAL MLCCS TARGET AUTOMOTIVE USES

SMALL HIGH-CAPACITANCE THREE-TERMINAL MLCCS TARGET AUTOMOTIVE USES

Murata Electronics today announced the availability of two new multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) for automotive safety-critical applications. The 0402-inch size (1.0×0.5mm) NFM15HC105D0G3D is the world’s smallest three-terminal low parasitic inductance (ESL) MLCC. The NFM18HC106D0G3L is also a three-terminal low-ESL MLCC but delivers the world’s highest capacitance of 10µF in a 0603 (1.6×0.8mm) package. The NFM15HC105D0G3D is approximately 60 percent smaller
